ok sorry for the melodramatic topic title (just came back from watching tristan and isolde what can i say ) but seriously--gaze upon the object of my desire:
by rene caovilla
seriously you guys when i tried them on i felt like i'd never felt before. and i'm no shoe virgin either, in fact i like to think of myself as something of a connoisseur but the way the top part just slinked up my ankle, why it left me breathless!
so the real question is have i lost my head enought to actually pay $800 for them???
oh and if the answer to the above is no, the next question is is there any chance at all that they'll ever go on sale???
Unspeakable beauty paired with an equally unspeakable price - the pain. I say get them and cut back on groceries. Who needs to eat when you have shoes like that?
$545 manolo blaknik's, i know there is nothing particularly spectacular about them, but i saw them while i was in vegas last month and tried them on. i actually shed a tear. i fell in love
$800 is a bit much for a pair of shoes. However if you can afford them, I say you should get them. I'm a bit of a shoe whore myself so I understand how you're feeling. Sorry to be an enabler.
lo, the beauty within! And ah, the sadness of my empty purse! If thine wallet is less empty, I say place thy credit card upon the altar of commerce, for the perfection of such footwear is destined to rest upon your feet!

You are too funny!! If you have an extra $800 to get the object of your desire and they will give you much enjoyment then go for it. If you will feel guilty though, just wait and see if they go on sale. Good luck! They are beautiful!
Those are incredible. What are the little dangly things made out of? $800 is more than I could personally spend on a pair of shoes, but if you have the funds and you're still thinking about them tomorrow, then get them--we'll all live vicariously through you. (I'm such an enabler!)

Greater words were never spoken!
(on a side note...it is a good thing for my own sanity that my ankles and calves are too thick for such a shoe or else they'd haunt me day and night too! )

lol, thanks for the eloquent enabling! here's the thing girls, i could do it if they were 5, even six maybe but 8?! yowza! i think i will just stalk and stalk and stalk and hope for the best. thanks ladies, i knew i could count on you all to understand!
splurge. get them. you live once, and if they take your breath away and haunt you like this have it's a good purchase. if you feel guilty spending so much on them, figure out something you can cut back on spending on this month, or sell something on e-bay. that's how I justify :)

hey lady--i thought of you when i came across these on bluefly this morning. they have a similar scheherezade-ish look and color scheme and are less than half the price. they're pretty beautiful as well. don't know if they are your size, but maybe a viable alternative...
those shoes are magnificent!! you should get them and then tell us all about them and what its like to wear them so that we can live vicariously through you.
