Biore strips-do they work?
Permalink Closed

I was looking to try something to get rid of the blackheads on my nose....so i was thinking of buying the biore blackhead unclogging strips. Has anyone had a good experience with these and noticed an actual difference in their pores? I have sensitive skin so i didnt want to try any harsh creams or anything...

This brand works for me.  They gotta be working if you can see the nasty crap it pulls out of your pores.  Plus it takes off the dead skin, so when I apply makeup it goes on nice and smooth and no dry skin.

the biore strips pull off gross stuff for me too...but it never seems to make any difference overall. i still have blackheads on my chin. i use biore self heating blackhead remover and it works like a charm. overall i have tons less blackheads on my chin and nose. it's not terribly harsh either for your sensitive skin, which i fear the strips might do. the strips always make me tight and dry and scaly in the areas where i use them but the cleanser doesn't do that to me.

Biore - Warming Anti-Blackhead Cream Cleanser - 6.25 ozthis is good stuff.

According to every dermatologist I've ever had, biore strips are horrible, horrible, horrible for your skin. They can def. take some stuff out, but, over time, they actually weaken and destroy your skin (and can, in turn, make your pores bigger!). Better to use something else, like a cleanser, chemical exfoliant, etc.

I could never get them to work. They didn't pull anything at all off for me, no matter how carefully I followed the directions. I have heard the same thing as rosey though -- they are probably not good for your skin.

the only thing i've ever had work is when an esthetician used this cheese-grater like thing on my nose. it hurt like hell, but man did my nose look amazing afterwards!

otherwise, i like the blackhead soap that lush makes...it helps a little bit. i love the biore strips, but i am too impatient to wait until it dries so i can peel the strip off.

i hate the biore strips.  they never work for me.  they allways hurt, and they leave my skin all red and irritated.  i would suggest for blackheads and clogged pores, a gentle exfoliant and a good toner.

okay, not to be ignorant, but what exactly does a blackhead look like? Are they just little black dots or something? I don't know if I've ever seen one.

you don't have blackheads at all?  like on your nose or your chin?  they are little black or dark grey spots in your pores that you can squeese and a little orangey grey stuff comes out.  they are very hard to get rid of and keep rid of.

I don't think so, no facialist or person has ever told me I've had any. I don't know if I've ever se en them on someone either. Am I just nuts?
