just wanted to know, what everyone has going on in their makeup bags.  so here are a few questions.

#1: what is your diamond in the ruff?  the one drugstore beauty find that you can't live with out, but is dirt cheap.

#2: what is your secret weapon?  the item that makes all the difference in your beauty routine.

#3: what is your most disapointing beauty buy ever?  something you might have read about in a magazine or heard about on the forums or from friends, that did not live up to it's standard.

for me:

#1: e.l.f. cosmetics smokey eyes kit, and the dewey skin kit.  they are two complete kits with everything you need to create smokey eyes and perfect dewey skin look.  they smokey eyes kit is $5 and the dewey skin kit is $4.  and there is no sacrifice in quality.  the products are amazing.

#2: mary kay's oil free hydrating gel.  i don't use it on my face though.  i use it on my makeup sponge before i start my foundation.  it makes my foundation go on a lot smoother and very sheer so i can build my coverage a lot better and i never get end up with too much foundation.

#3: any mascara with the white primer.  i am blessed with very long lashes and the mascara with the primers never go all the way to the end of my lashes.  it allways looks like i trim them when i use that mascara.  i was especially dissapointed with the new loreal one that has the wierd comb on the end.  that one was terrible.        also the rimmel volumeyes mascara.  i waited for two months for that mascara to come out and when it did i bought the first tube i could get my hands on.  it was terrible.  the comb puts so much mascara on the lashes they stick together and clump and mascara gets all over the place.

Maybelline Full N Soft Mascara - there's nothing like it (and I don't think Great Lash is that great!)

also cetaphil facial lotion

I have two - my aveda concealer - it's dry and not at all creamy, so this may seem bad to some people, but used with the aveda concealer brush (i swear by it) you can put just the right amount where you need it so that it seems you're not wearing anything at all.  because it's dry it doesn't slide off during the day like some more creamy concealers.

that said, bobbi brown's creamy undereye concealer is the best thing i've found so far for dark circles (and i've got them)

ooh you know what?  one more -

paula dorf's "baby eyes" eyeliner.  it's a peach/ skin tone liner - you put it in the inner corners of your eyes and you look much more bright and awake (it's the same effect as white liner but more subtle and natural)

this isn't makeup, but proactiv.  it was only good for a few months and then i had dry skin and breakouts (again)

Neutrogena Oil Free Concealer. It's the kind you twist the bottom and it comes out of the top. Best concealer for imperfections ever. Oh, and John Freida Beach Waves. I adore the smell of that...

I've posted this tons of times, but Dior Water for Face and Eyes. Clears my skin and makes me look fresh and dewy. Also, Dior Diorshow. If i'm going to leave the house with one makeup item on, it's going to be that one.

Hmmmmm. I like most things, I can get most to work for me. But I was disappointed with Bourjois Glossy Wet-Look Coat Mascara. It's the mini mascara that you're supposed to put over your mascara. Instead of a real mascara wand, it's just a stick with cut out indents. And it makes my eyelashes look all spidery instead of wet and gorgeous.
