Everyday Casual Shoe?
Permalink Closed

I looking for a black shoe that is casual that I can wear almost everyday. I can wear jeans to work everday except Monday, thus the need for casual. I don't even know if such a shoe exists, but I'd like something that can be worn in the spring too. What I mean is, I don't want a clunky black shoe that screams "winter".

I'm totally clueless when it comes to this sort of thing and am not even sure what kind of brands or styles are out there. The price range is around $80, but I'd be willing to go a smidgen higher, but not much.

Anything ladies??

What do we think about these:

Mmmm, for me I don't like black with jeans unless the rest of the outfit is black. Are you sure you want black? Is that what you wear everyday? Actually, are you sure you want an everyday shoe? That doesn't sound like much fun. But if you really do, what about dark brown, so it's less harsh, especially if you want to wear it during the spring? Or something fun that has different colors in it, so it could be more of an accent for your outfits? What kinds of outfits are you wearing it with? Jeans and a tee? The other problem, is that cute flats are too cold to wear right now unless you live down south. But here are two flats that I think are cute from steve Madden. Is this what you had in mind?

Well, maybe it doesn't have to be black, but how about an everyday shoe that I can wear with a lot of things?

ok, more like this? What kinds of things are you planning to wear, jeans and tees, or dressier?
These are all Naturalizer, because I figured you wanted to be comfortable

That last pair is more along the lines of what I'm thinking. I usually wear Jeans and basic tops wheter it be tees or sweaters. Today I happen to have on Jeans, a grey express shirt with sparkly dragon thing on it, a black express shrug/sweater, and white sneakers. I'm pretty plain :)

Dont get my wrong.. I like clogs.. but they seem "wintery" to me. I cant recall seeing girls in clogs once spring hits.

I would probably be more inclined to choose a flat or maybe a basic black kitten heel.

I agree with Dizzy. I have black flats but I haven't worn them because I don't think they look good with my jeans and stuff. Metallics are more versitale than black. You can wear metallics with any color. I feel your pain, it's hard to find shoes this time of year because it's too dang cold. I can't wear my flats because it's way too cold here. What about wearing a cute sneaker? I am pretty casual myself. Being that it's winter it's hard for me to find warm casual shoes, so I end up switching back and forth with black boots and sneakers. Hopefully the ladies on the board will have some ideas, because I need new ideas myself.

i wear tennies a lot.  but i don't like to wear the same pair everyday and i don't like to wear one pair until they look hidious so i switch them up a lot.  i don't like to spend a lot on tennies though because they are like throw aways to me.  they are the shoes i wear when i don't care or when i am just running around and don't mind getting my shoes a little messed up.

i just bought these at payless.

i bought these at payless too and i love them.

i also love the converse web site.  you can design your own chucks on their site and i love it.  i have tennies that no one eslse has.

http://tinyurl.com/d8qhj  i have these at home and they are my favorite tennies.  theyare my own creation.

Mossimo® Diego Flats - Multicolori ordered these a few days ago and i can't wait for them to get here.

I don't think clogs are really wintery because if I'm wearing them with jeans no one really knows it's a clog anyway. I try to stay away from flats and kitten heels because I'm really short and I like to add a little bit of height.
