So I am working on my bridal registry and what to know your favorite home stuff!
I am also looking for advice on type/brand of towels and sheets that you like....or brands to avoid!

I have some Lauren - Ralph Lauren towels I got from TJMaxx that have held up nicely.  Also, suprisingly, the Martha Stewart 5-start (or whatever the hightest number is) towels I bought from Kmart have stayed nice and fluffy!

As for your bridal registry, it really all depends on what you need.  The stuff we got for our wedding that we still use are:

-  the automatic coffee drip

-  a nice set of steak knives

-  a block of kitchen knives (Chicago Cutlery was the brand we got, they have them at Target)

-  a KILLER microwave

-  some nice throws for our beds and couches (my aunt makes quilts, and she made us a couple, and another friend gave us a personalized quilt with our names and our wedding date embroidered on it)

Congrats, and happy shopping!  (I've noticed even FHs get excited about registering for gifts...)

nice pots and pans

nice knives--Henckels

Williams Sonoma toaster

china

silver

Riedel wine and water glasses

We just use Ralph Lauren sheets and towels as well. I don't like the Ralph Lauren Avenue towels---The colors bleed and fade which is weird b/c this is their higher end line.

Registering is a lot of fun---

Ralph Lauren towels hold thier fluff and color really well. I've had the same towel for maybe 5 years and it's remained the vibrant violet color it was when I first got it.
