So I just got word that my friends from college are planning a big get-together weekend in February, the highlight will by a big party on Friday night. We are a mature accomplished bunch, all with graduate degrees and great jobs/or in professional school and yet one of my friends had the brilliant idea that the party's theme will be Pimps and Hos. CLASSY. I mean it was fun when we were 19 going to frat parties but now we're a little old. Apparently I'm the only one who thinks this is dumb so I guess I should just get over it. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE theme parties but couldn't we pick another theme... I have the best disco outfit in the world, no joke.


So anyway since everyone will be dressing like a pimp or ho, I guess I will to so I don't look like too big of a party pooper. Now I need help finding something to wear. I was thinking of going the upscale call girl route, or even something less expected like a dominatrix. I can't believe I just wrote that sentance. Also, I need to look really good because my ex boyfriend will most likely be there AND my best guy friend (who is in love with me (not an exaggeration) and lately I've been thinking there might be something there).


The only requirements are I'm pretty modest. I'm not a total prude but I'm not comfortable if too much skin is showing. And I obviously prefer cute and fashion-y to cheesy costume-y. SO any ideas are greatly appreciated :)

I would get a corset top (I think you have one already IIRC), short mini skirt, fishnets, high heels, and cheese it up with a feather boa.  Make sure to pile on the makeup, wear big, fake eyelashes.

i know this site that has the exact look you want.  i love the site.  i do some shopping there.  not a lot since most of it is pretty slutty, but when i want some thing interesting i check there first.  they sometimes have good stuff.

Laken- my disco outfit is pretty spectacular. It's honestly a family heirloom because my dad  wore the pieces back in the day. Since it's men's clothing, it's not a glamerous dress but that's okay.  The top is bright red, shiny polyester. There are exagerated cuffs that are about 6 inches. The collar is also really exaggerated and there is a LONG slit down the front (I guess for a guy to best show off his chest hair and gold chains) that I have to safety pin some. I wish I had a picture of it because it sounds kinda  boring because it's solid color but it's so shiny and exaggerated that it's not...the funny thing was this shirt was used in the UGA marching band uniform. The pants are TIGHT navy double knit polyester with a huge bell with a baby blue insert. And my accessories are hideous white platform shoes and an afro wig.
