I have a similar skirt from Gap outlet in a red color and I put it with a beige short sleeve sweater and it looks really pretty together.

You could always do the standard black and white.

How about playing around with pink, purple, yellow or a turquoise type color. It could work.

I love red with a teal/turquoise color. I think it looks so pretty. It can also look good with some shades of purple but you have to be careful because sometimes it can end up looking a little Red Hat Society. I think it would also be pretty with a cream color.
