wedges?

I just got these wedges at Target. The color is Cognac. Two questions:

1. Are wedges still going to be hot this summer?

2. Do you like these?

They were only $24.

I think wedges will still be hot, but I live in the midwest - in the middle of the midwest actually - so dont' go by my area. I'm iffy on those. I think they could be incredibly cute with the right outfit. But I'm having trouble picturing that outfit.

Yup, long live the wedge!  I'm waiting to form my opinion of those shoes until I see them in person.  I love the shape and style, but not sure about the shiny moc croc or whatever that is.

They had them in black and cognac.. It says they are real leather, but I'm not so sure. (I guess they wouldnt lie.)

The black ones were super shiny.. and looked kinda weird, like too dressy for the wedge heel.

But I definately thought the cognac were more muted, not as shiny and fit better with the wedge.

I think I'll keep the tags on until more of you go check them out yourselves!

I bought those in black (my store didn't have them in brown), but then returned them. I thought they were cute, but I have no idea how to wear them.

I think it's a great price and I've seen other shoe designers with similar styles for much more. If you can figure out how to wear them, keep them.

I've been checking the Target's in my area but still haven't seen them.  I think they are very cute.  I can see them working with a lot....more so spring/summer (cuffed jeans, denim skirts, bermuda shorts, gauchos-long and short) stuff but I was wondering how they would look with jeans and trouser socks??  I still want to see them IRL.

1)  Yes, I think wedges will still be in this summer.  Plus, wedges are so much easier to walk in (for me anyway)

2)  I think they're very cute.  I'd like to see them in person, but from what I can tell they're awesome!  Nice find!

I think wedges will still be in this summer, but not to the same extent that they were last year. Your wedges are cute, and I don't think you will look passé wearing them.

I saw them IRL & I thought they were cute. I didn't think they were that shiny in real life were they? And I think every pair of wedges I own I bought before they were "in" - I'll wear them forever. No matter what ya'll say!

I had to go back and dig up this thread...

These Via Spiga wedges are almost exactly the same as the Target ones, but for about $150 more!
