I had my long-overdue annual review and I got a promotion and a raise! (an 11% raise!)

My boss, who has been back from her 6-month maternity leave for about a month now, told me that I ran our department extremely well while she was gone and that I totally exceeded her expectations. She said that our company CEO feels the same way. She's usually not too generous with praise so I was so excited!

In addition, yesterday I got my new bill for my car insurance for 2006, and even though I got my first speeding ticket a few months ago, my premium went down, which is awesome and always unexpected for a Massachusetts driver.

Just wanted to share my news and I hope my good day/good luck vibes rub off on you girls!
