Chicago Girls!

Ok. I am moving to Chicago Feb. 1. I spent Tuesday looking and found two places I really like. One of the apts is in Lakeview (on Pine Grove a block south of Irving Park I think by the lake) and the other is in Andersonville.

I can really see myself in Andersonville. It is super-cute and I am ready to live in a more "chill" neighborhood. How would my commute be to Michigan Ave. job??

I also really like the place in Lakeview, but parking is going to be painful ... no?

What would YOU do if you were me?

Am I looking in the wrong 'hoods?

Thanks!

i live in lakeview and i have to say it's the perfect area for someone just moving to chicago.  i honestly don't know anything about andersonville (sad that i don't) but everyone i know who didn't initially move to lakeview, ends up moving there eventually (usually less than a year later).  being by the lake is amazing, also, you won't need your car as much in lakeview since where you will be living is walking distance to everything, so you won't have to worry as much about parking.

DEFINITELY LAKEVIEW.  i'm thinking shopchicago33 said the same thing.

Of course I said Lakeview shopgirl82   Is there anywhere else to live?!

I know a little bit about Andersonville and I pm'd Killa the details, but I definitely say Lakeview is the better bet!
