Gels vs Acrylics

I have Gel nails and I them. They look more natural than Acrylics IMO. They are thinner looking - I found acrylics to be a little thick looking and they feel lighter on the nail. Also, they are supposedly easier/less damaging on your real nail.

The only pitful is if you use your hands a lot (work w/your hands or whatever) they may tend to break easier on you because they are thinner. I don't have that problem because I work in an office, and I can type just fine w/them.

I say, give them a try!

eh - I sometimes stretch it and wait 3 weeks, but they start to look icky by then. I try to go every two. It all depends how fast your nail grows. Let me know if you get them done and how you like them!

my sister also gets her nails done and she just started getting the gel nails. they are so pretty. they look a lot more natural that the acrylic and hers don't separate at the cutical like the acrylic ones do. she is also a smoker and her nails do not yellow at all. i would say go with the gel.

i got gels put on yesterday. I LOVE THEM! they are so thin, light, natural looking- i am thrilled. definitely a good switch. the process is alot nicer than getting acrylics done too.
