currently, we live in an apartment.  we have been on the "verge" of moving for over 2 years... its the BF, not me, that doesn't make it happen.

anyhoo- i am ready to start decorating and painting and all the fun stuff that comes with being a homeowner... but i don't know how much longer we'll be in our space.

would it be stupid to purchase new bedding in order to "change up" our bedroom?  i think if i did at least that, it would make me get the "decorating bug" out of my system for a little while...

Not at all, I think it's a great idea!

I love having different sets of bedding that all coordinate with your bed and the colors you already have in the room... it's the easiest way to totally change the look and feel of your bedroom on a whim.

What kind of bedding/colors are you thinking of?  This is one of my favorite things to shop for.

Bex.. I think that is a fab idea... Even if you moved, bedding is no biggie, you wouldn't have to change it if you didn't want if you decide to move, and on the other hand if you decide you want all new bedding when you move, its not as expensive as buying a piece of furniture or something... Plus you if you buy the purple hotel collectioin like you are talking about, you can always make it look different with changing the decorative pillows and sheets and all the "Accessories" of the bed.  And i think that Purple would look amazing against the dark sleigh bed.

Im a bad influence.. but I would definitely go for it!

Bex:  Just checked out the "Hotel" collection and love it!

That is a pretty dark purple, however, and since your sleighbed is a dark wood, I'm concerned that the two together might be too... well, dark.

That said, I think this one ("Color Block") would look really fab, since the white would provide some contrast:

ETA: Ooh, just saw this from Calvin Klein, too:

I think you should absolutely do it now! Besides, when you do move, it will give you decorating ideas for your bedroom, and it will be one less thing you have to spend money on.

Hotel Collection  OOOOHHH I LOVE this one!  I might have to get this after I've saved some money on the shopping ban.  Is this one at Macy's?

thanks you enablers you!

eurodaisy- if i wasn't lazy and posted pictures the first go round, you would know that the picture you pulled up is the exact one that i want...

i love the CK one too- but the BF is against anything too girly in the bedroom- he thinks it should be good for both of us...  i'm afraid he would say that about the pink tones in it.  but i'll show it to him too... and see what he has to say.

so this one it is!

Yeah, do it now!!!!  You can keep your old bedding stuff and use it in a house for a guest room whenever you move.
