I know this show be posted in the food and dining section, I figured it would have more views on this page.


 


I am trying to make cookies, and the recipe states:


1 cup butter, softened


Since 1 stick equals 1/2cup, do I use 2 sticks of butter??????? I got confused at 1st when I was trying to make those cream cheese cookies posted in the food and dining forum. TIA!

yep, 2 sticks. And don't forget, softened means soft, NOT MELTED!!!  I learned that the hard way and it makes your cookies really hard.
