Secret Love...*added another bag option*
Permalink Closed

I am dying for this Francesco Biasia bag:

in the chocolate color. I find I am wearing more brown and neutral colors lately, and the only brown bag I have is more of a caramel color. I am not a big spender on bags, but I saw this last fall when I met NCshopper and have been thinking about it ever since. I am posting here hoping that someone knows a discount site for these bags. I keep going to Macy's and just drooling over them. They come up on eBay occasionally, but usually in the black and they often go for close to or over (!) the retail price.

I have a feeling that this might be my first expensive bag purchase, just because I love it so much. But I am not quite ready to justify the price ($298 for the larger satchel). I've been thinking about it for five months though, and I may have to break down and splurge. But I might just NOT tell my DH the price of something for once...eek!

ETA:

I'm glad I'm not the only one suffering over this bag. *s*

I'm really leaning toward it, but what do y'all think about this one:

I have seen this in person too (in a diff. color) and while I don't luuuuurve it as much as the Secret Love bag, I certainly like it plenty well. And can possibly get it for a better price on eBay...

if it helps, I am not a big bag-spender either, but I paid over $200 for my MJ Lola, and I don't regret it a bit (although I wish it hadn't been right before my dog's surgery). I think you should get it.

I totally remember seeing that bag with you!!!  It was STUNNING.

I'll swing by that shoe store where we saw it and see if they still have it and if it's on sale (doubtful, but worth a shot).  I'll be back in town on Monday and I'll try to remember to swing in there.

If it makes you feel any better, there are a lot of other bags out there that are a lot more expensive.  I think for the quality and styling $298 is probably a good buy.  I'll bet there's a website with a coupon code out there.  There HAS to be!

Nordies has it online.  It's $298, but it's Nordstrom, so you know you'd get it fast and their return policy is amazing in case you have second thoughts later.

They have it in brown too.  Here's an even bigger pic:

That's a beautiful bag.  I could see wearing it in so many different ways.  It also looks like you could fit a lot of stuff in it - either for traveling or just doing errands.  I could see it casual with jeans and flip flops, or super dressed up.  I bet you would get so much use out of it.

Gah! What a bunch of enablers you all are...*s*

NCshopper, I would love it if you can make it to that boutique and let me know if they have a sale. If not, I may hold out a little longer, knowing I can get it from Nordie's if necessary.

Thanks for putting the big pic up so I can drool even more though!! Sheesh. *wink*

This would have to be my carry-forever-and-it-damn-well-get-better-with-age-bag, but I think I could live with that!

Atlgirl, I love that bag too. I saw it at a local boutique a couple of weeks ago (not on sale...) and thought it was really beautiful and pretty timeless. It looked fairly durable too! I totally think you could carry it forever!

When I saw the thread title I KNEW it was about this bag because I have been lusting after it too. I first saw it online, and then in Nordstrom. It's a great bag.

I think if you've been thinking about it for 5 months it is definitely worth getting.

I would say hold out for the Secret Love bag... it's gorgeous. It's very unique, whereas the second bag you posted could be seen on any woman across America. The design is kinda generic.

I agree that you should hold out for your Secret Love bag.  You just won't be happy with the consolation prize.  This is my Secret Love bag (well, it's no secret really).  I assume the quality is on par with her clothing, but have no idea and I'm not willing to shell out almost $400.  I didn't see it in the B&M store.

Hey Misty, this girl I know has the satchel version of that bag and while I didn't get close enough to touch it (don't know her that well lol), it was soooo pretty.  Everytime I see her carrying it I want it even more.  The leather looked really nice, sort of slouchy and supple.  The inside has a cute leopard pattern too.  It used to be on Zappos (sold out I guess) and the reviews were pretty good.  HTH!

Oh and atlgirl, def. hold out for the Secret Love.  The other one is okay but I don't really like the white topstitching and as someone else said seems like a bag every woman carries.  The Secret Love is gorrrgeous and you should wait it out .

I know you girls are right. And my shopping goals for this year include "less quantity, more quality" but I am finding it's a hard mindset to get into. I am afraid I will just end up with "More quality - at a higher price" and really bankrupt the budget. ~shiver~

I am going to wait for the Secret Love bag. I'm still hoping for some sort of fortunate discount situation to occur, but if not, I want to get it anyway. I'll let y'all know when that happens, of course. *s*

Just wanted to add that I have two F.Biasia bags and I think the quality is great!
