Help with sizing....
Permalink Closed

I am trying to buy this super rare track jacket on ebay, but its only in a size large (im usually a small, sometimes a medium) but the seller has said that it runs small.  And so i asked for measurements, and here is what she gave me...  shoulder to end of sleeve is 28.5inches, waist is 29 inches (im ususally a 28/29 in jeans), bottom of collar to hem is 21in.  Im a 34B, 5'4" and usually a size 4/6 or small as said earlier., so as far as everything it seems like it would work, except im not sure about the length of the sleeves, she said this was what made it a large because the sleeves are long.  I dont have a ruler or measuring tape here and was wondering if somehow someone could tell me who is similar proportions if these sleeves are gigantically long?

That does seem curiously large. I'm 5'7" and from the top of my shoulder (where bra strap would go) to the break of my wrist is 24".

well, i am 5'5" and wear pretty much the same sizes you do and from my shoulder to my wrist is 22"...so i would have to say that seems like it will be pretty long, but maybe you could get it altered...

Has anyone ever altered the arms of a jacket before?  Does it turn out ok?  And about how much do you think it would cost? THe jacket is only 19.99 for a Fornarina, which is amazingly good price, but i dont want to invest alot in this jacket
