This may be a stupid question, but do you use anything to clean your lobes and earrings w/on a regular basis? I don't know what to use but feel like I need to clean them. I just started wearing earrings again pretty regularly. TIA!
If my lobes get irritated, I use witch haze or rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball. But since I wear either sterling or 14 kt gold ear findings, I haven't had irritated lobes in years. It used to happen occasionally when I wore cheap base metal stuff.
My sterling and gold earrings can (and do) go into an inexpensive ultrasonic cleaner occasionally as well, which provides a more in-depth cleaning.
I'd say do the same to your earring wires or posts (witch haze or rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball or swab - don't put them in an ultrasonic), and that should help.

i just swipe a little bit of rubbing alcohol on the earing before i put it on. and that is about it. i have my holes since i was 6 months old so theyre not like a new hole that is still healing. and i allways wear earings so they have never closed up and had to be forced in.
Oh I've had my ears pierced since the 4th grade, but I didn't wear earrings for a long period of time. I just want to know what to clean them with. Thanks girls, I'll just use rubbing alcohol!
I was my ears with soap and occasionally my earrings too. However, if they are looking irritated I will use rubbing alcohol on my ears and my earrings.

I LOVE earrings, and usually clean them in that cleaning solution you can buy at Wal-Mart or Targer for like $3.00, works pretty good, even on my REAL stuff.
