opinions needed- mizrahi for target sailor pants

took a stroll through target and tried on these pants- i am a chino lover and am always looking for a unique pair, the waist band acts sort of like a cummerbund(wide in front, more narrow in back), but i can't tell if they are cool and different or awful. they were way too long in store and so i was bummed- but i just checked online and they come in short- what do you all think?

(and even if they are a short, i would probably tailor them a bit to suit me even better- they are completely flat front and have a wide, straight leg- i feel like they look better in person than on the model)

I agree with Karina and Heatherlynn.  If only they hadn't put that seam where the 'regular' waist would have been ....

i think those are a miss.  but i am not a big fn of isaac mizrahi as a designer.  sometimes i find something of his that i like, mostly his shoes, but i think his obsession with the hot pink and florecent green is a little much.  espcecially since he puts them together so often.  love him as a talk show host though.  he is just adorable.
