Forgive me if this has been brought up before. Does anyone know any background on this?
On the bottom of the Forever 21 bags (at least here in Connecticut) it has John 3:16
this is the bible verse that reads:
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life."
I did not post this to get into a heated debate of whether or not it should be on the bag because I feel they can do whatever they want... if you have any feelings against it I wouldn't shop there (I personally will not stop shopping there for my cheapie pieces).
I just wanted to know if there was a story or something that goes with having John 3:16 on their shopping bags.
I googled and found that In-and-Out burger does this too.
Mmmmmmmmmmmmm....In-and-Out!!!
Oh...sorry, I got distracted.
I didn't know Forever 21 did that, but I knew about In-And-Out. John 3:16 is printed under the bottom rim of all their cups. I *think* Chick-Fil-A might also do something similar. Either that, or I'm just getting that confused because they're closed on Sundays.
I don't know anything for sure, but my guess would be that the owner of the company is a Christian. NCshopper's post about Chick-Fil-A made me think about this because Chick-Fil-A is owned by a Christian, which is the reason for the Bible verses and for the fact that they are closed on Sundays. Just a thought.
