Hi!  I got a slow cooker from my mom (my request) because there are 2 chinese dishes I want to make with it.  Bought the Slowcooker Pecipe book from Williams SOnoma as well, but mostly they seem more fancy.


Does anyone have yummy recipes which I can throw into the slow cooker B$ work and come home to a ready made dinner? And waht are some of your faves?  Any nationality dish would be appreciated!  I love Asian, Ialian, Indian, all sorts! TIA!

Here's a link to cooks.com, they have nearly 2000 recipes listed under crock pots.


I really like this site, they have very simple recipes as well as more elaborate, gourmet suggestions.

i really like the slow cooked macaroni & cheese that i only discovered when i moved to the south.  is that something you may be interested in?


i just got one too and i bought a better homes & gardens cook book.  i'll post some fun reciepies asap.

there is also another thread in food&dining about this very subject if you do a search--lots of good recipes that people posted.

So I finally picked up the slow cooker this weekend and unpacked it - cleaned it etc.  Will have to try out the first recipe for Chinese Beef Stew (soup) w/noodles. I'll be seeing how that goes as it will be a first! 


Second is kind of like beef stew (my mom's way).  Beef, carrots, daikon, tendon, tomatoes in broth with Soy Sauce, Ginger, and I am guessing 5 spice?  Will post on future thread when I make them!  Thanks!
