Sweater Shaver?

Do you girls have one you like? Is it okay to use on both heavier fabrics and thin ones (like cashmere?)? Does it weaken the sweaters/make them look thin or old? TIA!

Rosey--

i use the $5 one from linens and things or target. Evercare Magik Fuzz Buster. It runs on 2 batteries.

It is great. It really makes my sweaters and pants look great.

I use it on all my cashmere---hats, sweaters, gloves, etc.

It does a great job and doesn't seem to thin them to me.

I also use the elertic sweater shavers.  The older women at my work swear by the old fashione BIC shavers (you know orangey yellow and white).  I don't like to "shave" the sweater too often - you are literraly cutting off the protruding fibers and it will eventually get thin (depending on the thickness to begin with) you make get holes or bare spots.  (sorry but I had 2 whole textiles classes!).

I just bought one for $5.99 @ the Container Store -the brand is Evercare and I love it. It works great on all of my sweaters and cashmere - I noticed such a difference.  HTH!

Girls, I picked up the sweater shaver and I honestly don't know how I lived my life before I had one.  Thanks again!
