Final pics of the stocking I made!

Thanks for all the wonderful suggestions ladies!  I actually ended up making an elf.  I found  really cool silver beaded thread and used that to sew his name and the border between the green and the grey at the top.  The detail in the pic isn't that great, but you get the idea.  I sewed the back of the stocking on using a silver embroidery thread.  I'm tickled with how it looks!  Here are the pics!

Thanks!!!

I sewed him out of felt, like everything else.  I probably damaged my eyesight doing this whole thing.  Every piece that is a different color is a different piece of felt that I cut out and then sewed on separately.  I did Rudolph the same way, but cut out the legs separately so that they'd have some dimension to them.  I'm going to add close up pics of him so you can see him better.

Thanks ladies!  DH loved it and I think more than anything really appreciated the fact that I went to so much trouble to do it.  It wasn't trouble exactly, but it was time consuming.  I have no idea how long it took, but many, many hours, for sure.  A labor of love.

That is the most freakin' adorable thing I've ever seen! The elf is cute, the reindeer is even cuter, and the whole thing looks very professional. As someone who *hates* to sew, my hat's off to you. *s*
