Great Organizers... help me..

I keep all of my school work, too. I just finished my first quarter at my new school, and I've also found that the paper is piling up fast! I've been using this storge unit from Ikea

I wouldn't call it very organized, but it makes sense for my needs. I have six quarters until I get my first degree, and there are six drawers. I'm not sure if this would work out for you, but I just thought I'd throw it out there .

I was done with Grad school 2 years ago but here is my suggestion:

I would recommend that you keep all your notes and presentation from classes in hardcopy (easier to read) during the semester but also start saving the powerpoints, notes, etc that profs hand out electronically in one folder. Same goes for journal papers that you have to read for the classes. Keep them electronically. At the end of the semester you can purge the powerpoint printouts, journal papers, and just burn a CD of that semester's courses. That way all you will have left in your files are notes from the class, homework assignments and tests, hopefully! This should help the paper monster. But just be prepared with a filing cabinet/bookshelf for all of your school stuff.

Because binders are hard to stack, especially if they are of different thicknesses, I'd put each class in an envelope of an accordian file. This worked in my undergrad oncwe I weeded out all the scrap paper, doodles and misc. Keep as much on electronic file as possible. In fact, you could take the time to scan in your stuff and save it to a cd, but that would be time consuming. If you have too much stuff for an accordian file, I'd either put it in a file cabinet or file box. Good luck!

Use these! They're great -- better looking than binders, easy to label and organize, and not complicated to use (so you'll actually keep up with it). I'm in law school, and these have been a real life-saver.

Not Eurodaisy but if you have shelves you could stack them there or you could possibly line them up in a row in your closet. they would at least look organized and not a mess that way.

Except mine are in white. Home Depot and Lowes have them, and the personal organizers on Misson Organization (HGTV) use them all the time. It's amazing how much storage you can create out of wall space with just a few of these! Plus if you get some pretty magazine folders, they can add more color and personality to your space, as well as keep you neat and tidy!
