i'm going to a wedding in arizona in feb.  the wedding itself is at 4pm, in a church, and then there's a dinner afterwards.  i am trying to figure out what to wear...

would this dress be too sober/boring? it's really comfortable, and i'm always cold, so i enjoy the long sleeves.

any other ideas? should i wear something in a brighter color? what's the weather like at that time of year?

I got married in Arizona in February!  In Tucson, 2002.

Anyway, it was 80-85 for our wedding weekend, which was unseasonably warm.  We go for a few weeks every February, and it seems to hover around 70 during the day and it's chilly at night.

At our wedding, most of the girls wore sleeveless dresses and brought wraps, but didn't need them.  Our ceremony was at 4:30 outside, and it was still warm because the sun hadn't set yet.  The cocktail hour was outdoors, then dinner and dancing were inside.  One of my BFFs wore a dress similar to the one you posted.  She looked great and very appropriate!

where in Arizona will you be? Depending on the city, it could be snowing or it could be bathing-suit weather. I am assuming Tucson or Phoenix?

The dress isn't boring at all, IMO. On the whole, people here aren't very stylish. Even the women with money tend to sport logos/bebe overload, so I am sure you will look fab. Where are you staying? You need shopping recs, don't you?!?!

haha, halleybird!  yes, staying in phoenix, at a random hotel (don't even know name) that is near the wedding site.  i have been to PHX/scottsdale a few times before, but it's been a few years.  i will only be there about 2 days, but all shopping recs are welcome, of course!

you will be fine in that dress in Phoenix. February is really our last semi-cold month...it should probably be between 65-75 during the day. The dress is great! If you'll be outside for any length of time, you might want a wrap or something, but otherwise you'll be fine. As for shopping, if you've been here before, you know all the regulars -- Last Chance, Fash Square, etc. If you're in North Scottsdale, you might want to check out Kierland Commons, which is relatively new. It's really cute and quaint, and there are a couple of honest-to-god boutiques.
