opinions on these sandals?

they are dries van noten- maybe last spring or year before:

i love the style- but wondering if they'd be uncomfortable/hard to wear?  would my long toes look ridiculous in them?  i'm usually ok with toe loop styles- i know the long flip flop style (a la the bernardo thongs- which i love but would make my feet look like sausages) dont' work on me.

i love the sandals.  but in my experience a sandal that flat is a little bit hard on your feet if you are going to be walking a lot.  but if not, they are allright.

I have no idea how these would wear but they're very cute!

does anyone have shoes in a similar cut that can vouch for comfort factor?  do you think the wedge would make them a little more comfortable?

I have these:

Jack Rogers Navajo Sandal > Silver $79

and the bottoms seem similar to the ones you posted - wood with leather stiched on top.  I was worried that the hard bottom would make my feet/legs tired, but they are INCREDIBLY comfortable.

I have a hard time wearing the type of shoe you posted because my feet tend to slide around in them.  I turn in on my ankles, so I can't wear anything with a completely flat sole (no arch support) and bare straps.  There's not enough holding my foot in, if you know what I mean.

Anyway, I hope that was remotely helpful.

I have Bernardo thongs that are really strappy like that and the one complaint I have about them is that because there's really not much to them, it doesn't hold the bottom of the shoe to my foot very well.  Like when I walk, my shoes kinda hang off the bottom of my foot and I feel like I have to pick my foot up just a little bit higher than I normally would when I walk.  They're cute and they're pretty comfy, but not for long distances.
