flokati rug?

does anyone have one?  i've been looking at one similar to this:

i need something somewhat neutral and i think they are kinda nice.  anyone have any reviews/thoughts/other suggestions?  i have wood floors so it would be soo nice to have something soft under my feet, and i think its a more mature looking shag rug.

I was interested in them for a while and my mom kept telling me that they were a pain to have because they trap so much dirt and are annoying to vaccum and the white ones get dirty easily. I did briefly have a red one (my apartment got flooded and I had to throw it out) a few years ago. I vaguely remember that it was annoying to vaccum but the main problem was that it was pretty thin and light so it slid all over the place. You definitely have to get a pad to put under it. The one advantage is that they are supposed to be machine washable so that should help keep it clean.

while i love the *look* of my floko, i utterly hate having it! it is so hard to keep clean! some may be washable, ours is not. anytime it gets dirty, i have it dry-cleaned. i have been unsuccessful in finding a vacuum that works on it..so i don't know any other options. plus, ours sheds!

the only plus i can think of is that the floko is really soft and comfortable to sit on. my husband and i often play video games on the floor and it feels good. i am eyeing up different rugs to replace this one.

i'm not sure. we might just get a cheapo ikea rug because of the baby. but i LOVED the rugs at the rug company...so after the baby is old enough there are a few i'll check out there..

something else i've considered, is that a lot of carpet places will finish the seams for you...so if you see a regular carpet you like, you can have it ordered rug size.
