Jeans-update!!!
Permalink Closed

Hi ladies!

I posted a while back about opinions on the black, skinny Habitual jeans at Barney's. I tried them on and loved them, but have been holding off on getting them just in case I see something better (and less $$).

Well, after a busy day of browsing, I happened upon this pair of Diesel jeans. They look really cute, and the color isn't black, just dark, dark blue, but I can live with that if the fit is good. I'm planning on going tomorrow to try them on...

So my question- does anyone have these Diesel jeans, and if so, can you comment on the fit and how you like them in general? Also, do you guys think that this color is better than black??

Any and all feedback will be greatly appreciated!!

DIESEL® 'Liv' Stretch Jeans

****UPDATE: Well, I ended up getting the Diesel's and they are AWESOME- even for someone with a little extra padding in the behind! I can't wait to wear them, and I definitely would recommend giving them a try! Thanks to all for your great feedback!!

BTW- Lilykind: My Ernest Sewn jeans do have that fading on the back of the knee, but I don't mind it- I'm not much taller than you (5'4) either

I'm sorry I don't have the Diesel jeans but those jeans are HOT! I think they are much more wearable than black.

i tried those on in the store and didn't buy them. while they don't have any stretch, they were just as comfy as a stretch pair i tried on. i didn't buy them b/c they were really, really skinny almost tapered so they made my thighs look huge.

Honey- really, they don't have any stretch? Based on the description, I thought that they did...

I really like they way they look in the picture, but alas, I'm no six foot tall, super skinny model (more like 5'4 with some junk in the trunk!) so I'm hoping I don't look too much like a stuffed sausage...I didn't think the skinny cut would work on me, but the Habitual skinny jeans were surprisingly flattering, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that these will look as good...

I'll let you guys know tomorrow!

My skinny a$$ (and I mean that in the most complimentary, jealous way) friends love and fit the Diesel jeans very well.  Most of them are rigid.  Myself - with way too much booty for an Asian gal, cannot ever seem to fit right in the Diesel jeans - either my butt is flattened or theire is a huge back gap.  I really want some skinny jeans (drainpipe) also - have you tried the Sass & Bide or Tsubi jeans?  I've been stalking them on ebay and there are many sellers from the UK with similar stuff from H&M or Topshop that is less.

I've heard lots of great things about both Tsubi and Sass and Bide, but I would be too scared too order off Ebay without trying them on first...I know they can always be sent back, but it's a pain in the butt...

Vividogwear- if you get some, please let us know what you think and post some pics too! :)

vivi and greca- i have a skinny pair from earnest sewn that i love.  i got them at bloomies- they are the decca in the manha wash.  I am curvy too- i wish i had a pic of them on me, but i def am not a twig!  I have a 28- kinda wish i'd sized down as they get loose on me- i'm 5'6", 130 lbs, size 4 but with smaller waist and bigger thighs... maybe this is gross but i wore them a week in a row they are so comfy.  someone else on here has them too and loves them.

Lynnie-

I have those same exact Ernest Sewn jeans, and I love them too! I just wanted to jump on the black jean bandwagon, but after I saw those Diesel jeans, I am not so sure...:)

I live in jeans (I don't have a corporate 9 to 5 job, I'm in a creative field) so getting just the right pair is an obsession for me!

I'm trying to get out my house right now to go to Diesel, but it's raining and yucky outside...

greca, I've tried on Sass and Bide skinny jeans with absolutely no luck. I'm 5' 3" and around a size 4 on bottom but with junk in the trunk (I too am Asian, like vividogwear, and do not understand this particular phenomenon). Half my butt was exposed in the smallest size I could button up (28 stretch...they run small). Blah.

I'm thinking that a skinny pair of black Sevens would be perfect, like the Mias if they came in black.

lynnie, silly question, but do your Earnest Sewn jeans have the distressing at the back of the knee? I like them lots, but EVERY SINGLE pair of Earnest Swen's I've ever tried one has had that distressing and on my petite self that distressing falls halfway down my calves!

haha i have them on now, so i turned my leg over to check, and i don't think there is.  it is folded up where my knee is though- if there is distressing its really natural looking- not like that crazy bleached lines on dark jeans.  thats why i liked them, they are actually a really great dark basic wash.  i wear them constantly.  now i kinda want a size smaller so i have two pairs!
