Decorating For New Year's Eve
Permalink Closed

My friend and I are hosting a party for New Years at my house and our colors are hot pink and gold. I was thinking of doing a martini theme, and using tall square vases with gold and pink balls to add something. Any other cool ideas, I am drawing a blank. TIA!

Other ideas...

-draping pink and gold fabric (think sari or exotic prints) over tables

-Using feathers as fun,cheap accents

-Go crazy with gold spray paint... I'm thinking a pretty centerpiece would be a pretty class bowl filled with gold pine cones or magnolia cones. Or spray paint magnolia leaves and incorporate them in a floral arrangement

-When I throw parties, I like to use a tiered plate stand like this to hold bitesize desserts or hors  d'oerves. I like how it adds height to a regular buffet. Mine is brushed gold and I'm sure you could find a similar one at Target.

Oh I like the feather ideas! Fun! I did see some cute New Year's head band things that had feathers on them, the host and I can wear those! I am also up for some spray paint...

Any other ideas?

pink ice cubes

hang pink or gold ornaments with alternating ribbon from the chandelier

maybe a pink themed drink --cosmo or pomengranet martinis

maybe a pink themed menu

The party plan contains healthy pink recipes - and a few delicious treats. The menu has been created with pink in mind but, don't worry - you won't be adding red food colouring to every recipe. Serve the menu either as a sit-down dinner or as a buffet - each recipe can easily be adapted for more people. We hope you

enjoy all the recipes and we look forward to hearing all about your party.
