Stupid question about Uggs
Permalink Closed

I just ordered Ugg downtown boots (after the transit strike here, I realized that I really need something to keep my feet warm in the winter!). They fit but they're a bit tight in the calves-- or at least it is a little hard to shove jeans in there when I have socks on. But my sister says that Uggs are designed to be worn without socks-- that's why they have such a soft lining. Sounded crazy to me... but does anyone know if she's right?

Yes, she's right!

Mine don't feel right when I wear socks with them.

I always felt weird about wearing them without socks, but low socks don't stay on my feet when I wear them and I'm not a big fan of high socks, so I go without any now.

I've always worn them barefoot...I think that's part of the appeal, being able to go sockless. No wonder it caught on in Cali like wildfire, as the winter alternative to flip-flops.

I wear them with both, but lately have been wearing them mainly without socks. I don't think it matters either way... just whatever you prefer.

They are made to be worn without socks, but I wear them with.
