fragrance for a guy
Permalink Closed

My bf wants a new fragrance (he used to wear some cheesy old drugstore disaster). But he says he doesn't have the patience to go and smell 30 different colognes so he has asked me to find a few for him to try out. Is it possible to pick out a fragrance for a guy? Where do I even start? I need some help with this one, girls!

Those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head...

I would recommend picking out a few that you like and having the SAs create samples for you (Nordstrom and Neiman's are two places that are very nice about it, in my experience). That way he can try them on his skin, b/c of course the fragrance is a little different on different people.

For unique scents, I like some of the men's stuff at L'Occitane.

That's a hard one. Can he give you another scent he likes, or used to wear? That way you could use Sephora's guide to look up similar fragrances.

my bf won't wear anything else but Individual by Mont Blank.  I really like this stuff a lot too and I'm not even into fragrances much.

i just had a similar request.. but from my dad.

i ended up picking burberry touch. it's fresh but not citrus-y or too cleaning product smelling. it definitely smells more grown-up.

Hereis the link to my thread... people posted a lot of great suggestions!

at the store i was picking between l'eau by issey miyake, aqua di gio, and burberry touch.

also if you want to try to find something really unique try contacting aedes. they are so helpful there and have a great sampling program.

I know it's old and played out, but when a guy wears Drakkar, I go nuts!!

I apologize for the use of the emoticon, but it's the only time I can use it!
