laser hair removal (my natural hair color is jet black, and I'm fairly pale so I think this would work nicely...I would LOVE to remove almost all my hair and never have to shave again, but not in my budget right now.)
Fotofacial/micordermabrasion treatments (I have acne and scarring)
cellulite treatment (I have some...but aren't all celllulite treatments a load of crap?)
I can't really afford to go over the $300 at this point though since I just quit my job (my last day is tomorrow).
So if you were in my situation, what would you do?
I still need to go to the consultation and discuss with one of their salespeople, but I don't want to be swayed into doing something that I can't really afford right now.
I would get the microdermabrasion and iother facial treatments. It seems like there would be immediate results. How cool to win a free treatment!! Congrats!!
I would do a microdermabrasion. I'd be tempted by laser hair removal, but from what I understand it can take a few treatments for it to work, and I think you could end up going well over $300, or you'd spend the $300 and not see any results.
That's awesome you won that! What a nice surprise!
i think i'd do the microdermabrasion--it's your face and it's what everyone sees, so why not go for it? that's awesome. good for you for winning such a cool prize!
I would do the micoderabrasion because you'll get immediate results. I belive with laser hair removal it takes a few sessions for it to be permanent. Which would mean money out of your pocket

laser hair removal is a long process and will ultimately be way more than $300. I had a small amount (facial) done a few years ago and it was about $1000 for the year and the hair is still not totally gone. it was also painful and after each treatment my skin was scabbed over, which was not fun to deal with.
I won that prize too I think-- from dailycandy? They called me like 10 times but I never called back because I couldn't think of anywhere that I wanted laser hair removal (considering that I'd have to pay for most of the sessions myself). That's cool that you can use it on other services too. Personally I'd go for microdermabrasion, especially since you won't have to spend much out of pocket.

Yes, I entered the contest via Daily Candy. I did research on all the services that they offered because I knew I couldn't afford laser hair removal either and $300 is just a drop in the bucket since I want to get rid of most of my hair.
I was scheduled for my frist microdermabrasion yesterday and I think I'm hooked...my skin is so much smoother and some of my scars already look loads better. The RN who performed the microderm said that most of my scars are deeply embedded (no surprise, I've had acne since I was 10) so that it will take a few treatments to really notice a change, but I'm really happy with my choice. I did pay out of pocket for a series fo six treatments but I think it's worth it. Oh, and did I mention that the place I go to is right by the Christian Louboutin store. I didn't even know Louboutin had a store in LA.

lilykind- can you keep us updated? how much was 6 treatments and how far should they be spaced? also, is it a lot different from a philosophy peel for example? i have some light acne still and some old redness/light scars, but nothing too deep or bad.
