What's a settlement? Um can you tell my husband handles all this stuff?

Congratulations!!  Ha ha, that made me laugh because we are the opposite - I handled all the negotiations when we bought our place, from getting pre-approved and our mortgage rate to negotiating the price.  My husband just showed up to sign the papers.  I think I'm a Donald Trump-wanna be.


Anyway, settlement is the day when all the mortgage info is complete, you sign a boat load of papers, and the place is yours!  It usually takes about 30 days, but once we did everything in two weeks.

I'm moving to River North from Lakeview. Going to miss being so close to Wrigley Field but I'm 1/2 a block from East Bank Club ( my gym ) and that evens things out!
