I need Diet & Exercise Encouragement

I have been so bad since moving to Houston in August.  Way too much Mexican, Margaritas, and laziness and what do I have to show for it??  An extra 10 pounds.  Will someone please hold me accountable and make me do diet and exercise again.  I thought tying new Chanel Sunglasses to dieting and exercising would do it  but I don't think it has helped.  Maybe I just need someone calling me out on it for a few weeks.  Crystal? Dot? HELP!!!

Not Crystal or Dot but I'll call you out on it!

I have gotten lazy, tired and fat to name a few. I have been too tired to do almost anything, but have enough energy to get myself in "bad" situations. My eating has been poor with my new schedule and it also prevents me from going to a gym. I also HATE the cold without snow on the ground so I hate to walk in it.

And wine...oy yeh! My nemesis!

Excuses, excuses...so lets do this together, I will happy to maintain until 12/26 and then I am going to have to do something and not wait until 1/1.

I'm game Catherine...anybody else want to join us?

why not do a bet? if you trust each other, some one can be in charge of everyones weight and whoever loses the most by a certain date, say a month or two, gets a nice present by all the girls that are in the bet? just an idea......

I'm in too.  I've gained at least 12-15 pounds in the past two years and I feel yucky.  I've pretty much completely stopped working out.  By the time I get home from work at 5:30 every day, it's dark and I don't want to go for a walk if it's dark out.  My diet isn't terrible, but it's the exercise that's severly lacking.

If I could get motivated to do 20 minutes of yoga or weights everyday, that would even make me feel better.

I want to join in!  Right now, I'm hating how my clothes are fitting (those that do still fit anyway!).  I'd really like to lose 15-20 pounds.  I'd be a lot more comfortable and confident at that weight.

I like this idea. Like an ST biggest loser! We can all put like $10 into a pot, and set a weight loss goal that will will try to meet in a set timeframe...then whoever come closet %-wise (to account for us all needed to lose different amounts, bigger people losing faster etc) gets the money? Or whatever. But I need to get my (fat) ass in gear too- I'm up 15 pounds from the summer. NOT healthy!!

buy a pair of super sexy, semi expensive pants or a top one or two sizes too small and take off the tags so you can't return them.  it allways works for me.

try 40 lunges, 40 squats, and 40 plee-ays every night.  it will  work wonders on your butt and it is not like a big time exorcise routine.  it will get the blood pumping a little bit and you can do it while you wach tv at night or at your desk while on your lunch.

try the thigh master.  you can use it on your arms, abs, legs.  it is easy to use and also it does not require a lot of effort like going to the gym or going running.

drink a big glass of water right befroe you eat dinner and lunch.  it will fill you up a little bit so you don't eat so fast.  if you eat slower, you still get full, it just doesn't take as much food to fill you up.  or eat a big lunch and a smaller dinner.

stop drinking soda or sugar or both.  i lost 13 lbs in 6 weeks that way with the squats and lunges.

hang up pictures of women who's bodies make you really want to diet. they don't have to be super skinny, they just have to have nice bodies and look good in their clothes or without them.

i don't mean to sound like a know it all, these are just things i started doing after i had triplets.  i gained 80 lbs while i was pregnant and couldn't breast feed, so i had to work to get the weight off after.  and with triplets, i wasn't getting much sleep so i needed things that didn't require a lot off effort.

Okay, I'm in. I think we should each post our workout/dieting goals/schedules and everyday check in on one another. I would personally feel much more accountable if lsubatgirl (for instance) was like, "blubirde, did you go to spinning last night?" I'm in for 1/1. I usually have a pretty consistant workout schedule but in the last 3weeks/month, I've gained 5 pounds!!! Totally baaadd and I haven't been to the gym in 2 weeks! I don't see any of that changing before New Year but I'm in then!

I'm in for 1/1 too blubirde!  I don't forsee things changing significantly for the next few weeks, but after that I'm good to go.  I'm trying not to be too bad right now, knowing that most of the eating is ahead of me when we go home to San Diego (and Mexican food!!!) in a few days.

Plus, I need to buy batteries for my scale and I'm a lazy piece of sh*t and I know it'll take me a few days for that to get done.

<--me right now

This is exactly what I need.  Ok I'm in for 1/1.  We can all weigh in that day and then post it and go from there.

NCShopper - I feel like a also.
