since you have a wal-mart- i am guessing that it has a salon in it (most do). they should carry TiGi products there and they have a product called "Catwalk Root Boost". It is a spray foam that you can spray directly to the roots or through the whole head for volume. It should retail for $13-15

Hmm, if you have an Aveda salon near you, their volumizer tonic is good.

honestly, i love good old fashioned gel used at the roots when your hair is still wet. when it's slightly drier, i like to lift hair up and spray a little bit at the roots, and then blow-dry.

thanks for the suggestions. unfortunately my wal-mart does not have a salon in it. and there isn't an aveda salon anywhere near me. i did however go to sally's and they had a brand that is like a copy of tigi and grabbed the closest thing to the catwalk, i looked it up on line, i'm going to play with it a little after work.
