Okay--I want to make these Neiman Marcus cookies b/c my hubby loves them. But I need to blend the oatmeal and grate a Hersey bar. Crazy--oh well, no wonder they are so good. Does anyone have a good processor rec? Which one do you use? Possibly not too expensive.

I can't believe I don't have one with all the kitchen gadgets in my house.

I have a cuisinart mini prep that I use to chop herbs, some veggies, make salad dressing, etc.  It doesn't grate stuff, but would probably work on the oatmeal.  I don't know if it's big enough to make cookies though. (Can you tell I rarely bake? ) Amazon has it for $30.

The one time I made dough for a dessert, the recipe said to mix butter, flour, sugar, and some other stuff in a food processor and the mini prep was too small, so I used a hand mixer.  It turned out okay.

I have both the mini and the 11 cuisinart. I LOVE them. I'd recommend one in a heartbeat.

The have a loyal following just as Kitchen Aid mixers do.
