I've used it -- I don't think it's that helpful if you're already sick. It did work when I was getting sick, but I stopped using it because it was affecting my sense of smell. In fact, I think they were sued over it. So I wouldn't recommend it.

Hate to say it, girl, but if you've been sick that long, you probably have some kind of infection. A sinus infection CAN cause stomach problems, too -- I'd call a doc. Feel better

DO NOT USE THIS!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE!!!! There is currently a class-action lawsuit against Zicam because people COMPLETELY lost their sense of smell and taste due to it!! I used to use it adn recommended it to my friend's boyfriend when he was sick. Guess what happened? That's right, he completely lost his sense of smell and taste!!! PLEASE, STEP AWAY FROM THE ZICAM!!! I swear this isn't an urban legend or anything, it's real and it's happening to a friend of mine who I recommended it to!!

Forgot to add -- if you're getting a cold, Airborne works every bit as well as Zicam ever did. But it won't work if you already have the cold (and neither will Zicam).

lindsayp: is your friend's taste/smell loss permanent? That's so sad!

yeah, unfortunately it's permanent, at least it has been for the last 2 years or so. Kinda sucks!

I use Zicam everytime I feel a cold coming on, not sure it helps with the flu. I had no idea there is a class-action against them. However, it sounds like you're having worse issues then a little cold I think you should see a doctor about it.
