I'm writing out a few Christmas cards to a handful of my girlfriends right now. I'm giving them to them tonight at a party. I was wondering if anyone knew any quotes about friendships, especially girl friendships offhand? If not, does anyone know any sites I can look at that will have some cool ones?
I used to collect quotes - so here's a few I really like:
"A friend walks in when the rest of the world walks out"
A friend is one who knows us, but loves us anyway. -- Fr. Jerome Cummings
It's the friends you can call up at 4:00 a.m. that really matter.-- Marlene Dietrich
"It's the best feeling in the world when you meet new friends that you can't stand to be without. That you constantly want to impress to make them like you even more. They make you hope everyday that they won't leave you. Until that day when they actually do, and you're lost without them. You can't think about anything else but when you're going to see them again." ---Unknown
"True friends are hard to find, difficult to leave, and impossible to forget." ---Amanda Kunkle
"A best friend is a sister destiny forgot to give you." ---Unknown
Friendship isn't a big thing - it's a million little things. ~Author Unknown
A loyal friend laughs at your jokes when they're not so good, and sympathizes with your problems when they're not so bad. ~Arnold H. Glasgow
Friends are those rare people who ask how you are and then wait for the answer. ~Author Unknown
A friend can tell you things you don't want to tell yourself. ~Frances Ward Weller

I know - I love that one too! If you need anymore, I could pull some more from my quote book - let me know.
This quote always makes me laugh... A good friend will come bail you out of jail......but, a great friend will be sitting next to you saying, "Damn...we fucked up."
Haha!! That's hilarious. I have the perfect friend for that quote. Who said it?
I'm not sure, I've seen several different versions floating around (changing the last part to be more politically correct), but I have never seen an author listed.
"Some people go to priests; others to poetry; I to my friends." -Virginia Woolf
"True friends stab you in the front." -Oscar Wilde (OK, so maybe not so appropo...)
"A friend is a person with whom I may be sincere. Before him I may think aloud. I am arrived at last in the presence of a man so real and equal, that I may drop even those undermost garments of dissimulation, courtesy, and second thought, which men never put off, and may deal with him with the simplicity and wholeness with which one chemical atom meets another." -Ralph Waldo Emerson
