I bought a Hype handbag and it basically fell apart after ~10 wears. The stitching just started falling out. I was so upset b/c I really loved this bag! So to answer your ? - no, I don't think they are very good quality.

Wow - I can't believe yours fell apart that quickly. I have had about 4 of them and had no trouble at all. Two of mine are over 2 years old and I still wear them from time to time and still get compliments on them too.

I would highly recommend them.

I have one of the original Hype Durango bags, the salmon pink one that was featured in Lucky a couple of years ago. It has held up for me, not sure if the quality has gone down since then.

I had a hype durango doctor bag I carried constantly for a year, and then occasionally for another year, and it still looked great. I gave it to my sister a few months ago and she still uses it.

i have a hype bag i bought during the durango craze and i carried it everywhere for about a year to a year and a half. it held up really nicely.
