festive attire help needed!

I have two parties in the next few days that are "festive attire" not dressy, but not casual...  I have this bag and would like to use it


style number: 1082016


because the bag is velvet, would a velvet blazer (brown) be too much with the bag? any ideas for outfits to go around this bag? color pairings?  I have a pretty extensive wardrobe - I just need some inspiration - please help!


I do have a camel pencil skirt, and the cream satin trimmed stella mccartney sweater...


style number: 1082016


this is close to the color of the skirt but it's more on the gold side - it's just a plain, straight camel pencil skirt

well I think it would look great, I love those boots and  they add the festive look to the outfit.
