And they both rocked! Super easy (except for the fountain of blood that came from the tip of my finger when I sliced right into it) and super yummy.
I used milk chocolate on the peppermint bark, just because I dislike white chocolate. Either work.
For the snickers cookies, I used sugar cookie slice and bank instead of peanut butter but only because I couldn't find any pb cookie dough.
I had to tell you all because I'm so proud!! With the exception of the finger, it was relatively incident free. Yay! Maybe I actually CAN cook something decent...
Yummmmmmmmmmmmm! Where'd you find the recipe? I'd love to try the peppermint bark. I loathe white chocolate too, so I'd probably just substitute dark or milk chocolate for it.
That sucks about the finger. I had a very disturbing visual image that accopanied your discription of "a fountain of blood."

You think you had a disturbing visual image? I put the Shaw Brothers to shame! (think Kill Bill if you don't know the Shaw Bros.)
As for the peppermint bark, I got it from another thread. Alb posted it for me. It's here:
I have a tip for anyone making the peppermint bark. Save some of your candy bashings and sprinkle on top of the choclate/candy mixture so it will look all pretty. (A friend made it yesterday and hers was prettier - that's what she did.)
Blubirde--I'm glad you liked the peppermint bark recipe. I'm going to try to make both the peppermint bark and the snickers cookies for food gifts this weekend (hopefully I'll find the time). Thanks for the tip about putting some of the candy on top!
I made the snickers cookies yesterday and they were really yummy! I had to get sugar cookie dough b/c they didn't have pb dough. I ran out of dough though (I ended up with many more snickers than dough), went to 2 grocery stores and both were sold out of all slice and bake dough except choc chip. I must find some today!
