I looooove the 100% modal sateen sheets at Bed Bath and Beyond. They are much softer than my regular sateen ones and they hold up better with my pets. A king set is $100 but they always have coupons.

We got our bedding from Target and I actually love it.  We have a duvet cover that they don't seem to carry anymore and matching shams, and the sheets are the Fieldcrest Luxury line they have at Target.  They're wonderful.  350 thread count I think and they're super soft.

ETA:  A good friend of mine got her sheets at Home Goods for $50 for a whole set of 500 thread count sheets.  She says they're really nice.

Here is my bedding....  Its hard to see the comforter, but the detailing is beautiful... All the detailing is actually handsewn piece by piece.  I have my bed pretty much exactly like the picture and I love it so far.

Linen's 'n Things is a good place to go when you need to get everything at once on a budget.  Plus, they have everything to coordinate.  This is the set I have:

I like Frette sheets or Ralph Lauren Avenue sheets---maybe a 350 thread count or so.

Target's flannel sheets are comfy for chilly nites

Well, I can't afford the really high end stuff - I would love Frette or Duxiana, but I do like the "Bella" line at Target... gotten a few sets over the years that always mix/match well.  Also, I have some Rachel Ashwell stuff from her dept. store line.

I also forgot to mention - you can usually get great deals on King/Cal King bedding at places like Ross/Marhsalls/TJMaxx on sale since the size is less common~

I have these shams and duvet cover from anthro:

But I got my actual sheets at Burlington Coat Factory! You really have to dig around, but I lucked out and got a set of 600 tc sateen sheets (they are wonderful- wash incredibly and are so soft) for $50! Burlington is totally hit or miss and it can be sort of a pain, but I highly recommend giving it a try if you have one near you.

I'm also a fan of Target's sheets, they have lots of fun colors and prints.
