I just don't get people's fascination with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olson's style. Maybe I just don't get the dumpster-chic look. Can anyone who likes their style post some pics of outfits they like?

you know, that's a really old photo and i agree with you--it's a particularly bad one.  but most of the time i think she looks cute--i'll try to find some pics and post.

i actually like mk's style, even at its must "dumpster/homeless".  its really a hard thing to explain.  i guess it comes from "coming of age" during the grunge era, so i have a weakness/nostalgia for it.  plus, i feel for mk, not sure why.  ashley has never really moved me- though i do like her style.  also- while i do believe style is innate and can't be bought- I think they both do have that innate sense of style PLUS a billion dollars- that never hurts haha.

Sometimes I think she looks cute, but sometimes she looks homeless. I personally like Ashley's style better.

I only like their outfits when they get dressed up for something.  This outfit is particularly awful.  She doesn't even look like she's wearing it.  She just looks like she is carrying around a bunch of laundry.

I like how she dresses because she has fun with fashion. Her style has become trendy now, but she totally started it. It's so easy to hire Rachel Zoe or whatever to dress you, but I like that she does what she wants cause her personality shows. I respect Chloe Sevigny, Kiki Dunst and Maggie Gyllenhall for the same reasons. Where's the fun in just following trends or dressing boring? I think people like them are the ones who really get fashion.
