Does any have a good thumbprint recipe... I usually like to make them without the nuts though.

Here you go!

Thumbprint Cookies

Combine the following ingredients in a bowl & mix thoroughly until creamy:

2 sticks of butter or margarine
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 egg yokes (the yellows)
1 tsp. Vanilla extract

Sift together 2 cups of flour & 1/2 tsp. salt

Mix flour & salt mixture into bowl w/the butter, brown sugar, eggs & vanilla mixture

Roll into 1 inch balls

Dip balls in egg whites (left over from egg yokes)

Roll balls in finely chopped nuts

Put on baking sheet

Press thumbprint in before baking

Bake at 375 for 12-14 mins.

When cookies are cooled off - put jelly of your choice in the center (thumbprint)

HTH you girls!  Let me know how they turn out!
