My hubby gave me this Chinese mother/ daughter necklace for my birthday.
It is from Red Envelope and I really like the thought behind it. It makes me feel happy. However, the chain is weird, especially the clasp. I can't get it on,
but most importantly, it always turns around while wearing it and you see the clasp (picture included, which looks cheap)
Any ideas on how to keep the clasp in the back? I will be on the lookout for a new sterling chain as well.

What it needs is a counterweight. The clasp slides around because of gravity - the back end of the chain is not heavy enough to keep the clasp on the back of your neck. If you go to a bead store, or have a friend who makes jewelry, they probably could add a bead or something to the last jump ring of the chain so that the clasp doesn't slide so much.
HTH.

Brilliant---I knew someone would have an answer. I will try this.
Maybe we have a stylethread marketing idea here. A detachable one we could manufacture, market and sell to use with different necklaces.

What a smart idea! Maybe a lobster claw clasp and a dangle-y thing so it can be attached to any type of necklace with an extender chain...thanks for the thought!
