Is Eva Longoria's mouth getting ahead of her publicist? The size zero "Desperate Housewives" siren is talking up her thespian aspirations by dissing the small-screen career of someone far more famous. "I want roles that are the opposite of Gabrielle -- I don't want to be known as just a sexpot, it's so hard to break out of," she's quoted as telling New Woman magazine (via the London Sun). "Even though Jennifer Aniston's had huge success, she'll always be Rachel Green."


I really don't agree with that. I think that Jennifer Aniston has shown her ability to change up her characters, but she just works well in comedies.

agree.  I can't stand a word that comes out of her mouth and I can never see her playing roles even CLOSE to the ones Jennifer Aniston plays!!!  Eva, do everyone a favor and stop doing interviews!!!!

I just want to add that I agree w/everyone - Eva sucks!  Also, she's only saying that because she's jealous and only wishes she could have half the career Jen has had!

I second this. I do not think Jennifer Aniston is a good actress at all, but she beats Eva Longoria by miiiiles.


PS -- does anyone else think Eva lies about her age? IMDB says she's only 30.

haha, oh eva!  another gem.  no matter what she says, we'll hate her for it =)


that said- maybe she IS rachel green to a lot of people.  i could see that.  i never watched friends regularly, so she isn't to me, but i can see how this comment would be pondered if anyone other than eva longoria/kimberly stewart/paris hilton, etc. had said it.

She's totally jealous!  I saw something on TV this weekend where Eva Longoria said that she can't get any big roles because she is "too beautiful."  Yeah, suuuuuure that's the reason.

I think I read an interview where she said something along those lines.  Can't remember exactly though.


Eva needs to get a clue.  Take Charlize Theron for instance.  Miles and away beats the crap out of Eva in the beauty department.  But she is not at a loss for roles.  And she's not even limited to "lead beauty" roles.


She doesn't get roles because (a) she sucks at acting and (b) the public doesn't like her.  She can't sell a movie or even carry a tv show.


She just gives me the ick.

I can't stand Eva Longoria.  Ugh.  She drives me nuts.  There are a lot of celebs right now that are "hot" and fairly uninteresting, but I really think EL tops the list.  I've never heard her say anything intelligent, and the only thing she really has going for her is DH, so it's the only thing she can really talk about.  She's just an idiot.
