Jellies need to die already!! I wore them the first time around (when I was about 5, in the 80's). I wore them the second time around (when I was in high school in the 90's).  I will not be wearing them this time. They are disgusting!

My mom says they were popular in the 70s so that was the first time, then early 90s when I was little (2nd time), and then when I was in junior high (late 90s (3rd time)-- that was the high heeled version), and I think the past few years they have been coming around again (this would the 4th).  I think they need to give it up!!!

I know they were also popular in the early 80's, when I was a kid.  I don't remember the twice in the 90's thing, but the point is, these things have been around for waaaaay too long.  I hate them!

The early 90s thing was when I was young - could have been late 80s.  I just know it was when I was in elementary school and then again in junior high.  I'm so bad at years!!

Either way, they're awful!! They need to go away and not return. Ever. Not one of the incarnations of these shoes was cute or comfortable!

Yeah, I had purple, pink, clear, blue...way too many. It's embarrassing. I just remember my feet getting so sweaty and then they would slid around in the shoes and I would fall.  Those things aren't just ugly, they're hazardous!

Oh geez, you are bringing back some memories!!!  I had an irridescent pink pair with a heel and an ankle strap in 7th grade.  Quite lovely, actually.  Nothing says glamour like pink irridescent plastic and a chunky heel.  Now we're talking!!!

Oh God, in the 1980s I desperately wanted them and, at first, my mom wouldn't let me get them because she said they had bad arch support or were too slippery. I begged and begged and begged and she finally consented. I remember wearing them to my friend's birthday party (thinking I was way cool, of course) and I slipped, fell down the stairs and twisted my ankle. That was the unfortunate end of jellies for me!

i cant believe these are back again- they were back last summer too- or the one before that.  in fact, mj himself made a diff. pair of jelly pool slides- they were slides with rhinestones on them, *shudder* and about $200.  i think he keeps trying to bring them back because the profit margin on them must be ridic
