What do you think of jewelry on guys? I'm not a fan of jewlery on guys, my bf doesn't wear any (other than his nosering that he took out ages ago).

Do you like man jewelry? Does your guy wear anything?

ETA: My bf does wear a watch (a really nice one I picked out) but I guess I never really considered that jewelry- more of a neccessity like underwear or shoes.

My brother, however, is super "metrosexual" and has peircings in both ears, wears a necklace with metal beads and sometimes rings. He is also currently rocking the Orlando Bloom braclets look but, honestly, its just a little too gay-looking for me.

Some guys can pull it off okay.  Most cannot and shouldn't try IMO!  My FH doesn't wear any jewelry, not even a watch.  He did have a kind of rustic wood/metal beaded necklace he occasionally wears in the summer, and that's cute.  I HATE bling-y stuff on guys!

I think it is almost all disgusting, with the exception of a watch and wedding ring. And maybe a simple earring if the guy's that type. Chains and necklaces, any sort of bracelet, pinky/thumb rings are all instant deal breakers for me. It's just all so cheesy.

That being said, none of the guys in my life (ex boyfriends, friends, dad) have ever worn anything other than a watch my dad wears his wedding ring. My brother has had both ears pierced multiple times along with his eyebrow, but he's outgrown that phase.

I don't really like any jewelry on men except for a watch. My dad doesn't even wear a wedding band and I guess I got used to that because rings on guys kind of weird me out. My bf wears a silver cross like this on a long chain
that I think his mom gave to him. It's hardly ever visible under his clothes so it doesn't bother me that much. Except that my hair often gets tangled in it. If I had my way I'd prefer that he wear no jewelry but it's not that big a deal.

My ex has a gold signet ring that was his grandfathers that he wears. I think it's cute that he wears it and it looks classy and I usually hate jewelry on guys. His new Facebook picture has him wearing some sort of thing that looks like a rosary but I'm assuming is Sri Lankan. I guess cause he's in South Asia he's decided necklaces are suddenly ok?

I don't like it at all.  My boyfriend doesn't wear any - not even a watch.  The only thing he'll ever wear is a wedding ring when we get married.  I cannot stand earrings and chains on guys - that's just my preference.  I do think some guys pull it off, but not many.

i think it depends on the guy, and the type of jewelry.  understated jewelry is fine, imho.  i don't like the bling-y p.diddy/sopranos thing, but something small is okay.

I am not a fan of men in shiny baubles. My dad always wore just a watch and wedding ring and my SO wears only a watch. Those shortish chains skeev me out. I have seen some men wearing artsy silver rings and I thought that looked ok, but they were the kind of guys who looked right wearing artsy silver rings. I don't mind men with piercings either. That looks ok on the right person. Ok, I guess I just don't like short gold chains, esp if they are all tangled up in chest hair (Ewwww) and loud gaudy rings. Just looks cheap. No matter how expensive.

My husband wears his wedding band, a watch, and also has both ears pierces.  He wears small 10 guage hoops in both ears.  He's an indie rocker, and I think he can pull it off.\

I hate the look of men wearing diamonds or other gem stones.  I also really dislike big rings on men.

My husband wears his wedding band and a small silver hoop in one ear. I think hoops are hot on the right person.

my husband used to wear a watch, but he hated it (plus he's one of those Type-2 personalities that doesn't care what time it is). Now all he wears is his wedding ring, and that took a lot of getting used to for him.

My dad, however, wears a tiny gold St. Christopher medal around his neck every single day (not visible) and has a huge collection of watches that he rotates. He also has this really cool cabochon ruby/diamond ring that my stepmom had custom-made for him.

I'm not so much a fan of the man-jewelry.  I don't mind rings--my husband has a few rings with some sentimental value that he wears occasionally, and of course his wedding ring.  But earrings and necklaces and bracelets, I can do without.  If the jewelry's pretty inconspicuous, I don't mind, but I can't stand a big gold chain on a thick bed of hair on a man's chest.  Not a fan.

I don't really care for normal jewelry on guys (necklaces rings bracelets) Earrings are cool with me.
I do however have a serious fetish with body jewelry/piercings on guys.I love when they have a face full of metal and/or other places on there body pierced.

I prefer a guy to wear a nice watch. In fact, when I meet a guy I usually like to check out the watch he's wearing. I'm kind of weird about that. I don't like bling-y type jewelry on a guy either.

Wow, I am really outnumbered here.  I love silver watches on men as well as earrings.  I also like silver bracelets, but no rings.  I hate rings on guys, unless they are wedding bands.

My BF wears a watch and has one rhinestone stud in each ear and two small hoops in one ear.  He also likes to wear cufflinks and we are looking for the perfect silver bracelet--something that looks like watch links.

I agree with most of the posts that I don't like jewelry on a man except for a watch and a wedding ring.  However, some men wear bracelets well.  I used to have a weird thing for a pierced tongue, but kind of got over that....

Man jewelry was on the list of "can not tolerate" when I was dating. Not acceptable. Other than watch & wedding ring (well, that would have been a deal breaker when dating as well!)
