10 year reunion
Permalink Closed

okay, so apparently my HS graduating president sucked, and we only had 40 $ in our account.  so our reunion is at a bar.  nice.  it was planned at the last minute too.  it was supposed to be over thanksgiving, but was cancelled.

but anyways, of course i want to look cute...  it's in pittsburgh the day after x-mas.  so it's going to be pretty cold.  but what do i wear?  i honestly have no clue. jeans & sweater?  dress?  pants? i'm lost.

any suggestions would help.

well, that sucks.

if it's going to be at a bar... in Pittsburgh... hmmm what kind of bar?

this made me think of a funny story... my husband, who went to high school in Pittsburgh, was elected class president.  once he found out that he would be responsible for reunions, he rescinded his seat... maybe the aversion to reunion planning is a Pittsburgh thing?

I would say jeans, hot top or cami, blazer/jacket, and heels. sounds like a pub/sports bar/pool hall:

yeah, it's a chain.  it's not a bad one, but it's a chain.  i would do...heels, jeans, chiffonish top, and a blazer if you usually get cold.

Well...my 20th was just in early Novemer, and it was in a chain restaurant / bar...we didn't have a room reserved or anything; everyone just met in the bar area and yakked with each other. It turned out to be okay.

I wore an LBD, heels, and carried a clutch. But I was more dressed up than most - Arizona is pretty casual in general, so many people were not dressed up at all. I agree with detroit - you could do some great jeans, heels/boots, a hot cami and a blazer with some jewelry, and probably look smashing. *s*

I love Fox & the Hound.  We actually used to hold casual business events there with lots of food and drinks.  The one in Fort Worth, TX is ridiculously cheap for a business event.  But none the less, I always had fun there.

I would go casual, however, you want to wow them with looking nice.  I wouldn't wear like dress pants, but I would do trouser jeans, great heels, a blouse and maybe a blazer to go over it.
