Okay, I have done most of my shopping, but because of finals I am a bit behind...and I need to know a couple of things about my person...so I am creating a poll in hopes of finding out what I need to do...and maybe along the way it will help someone else out too...

(we spend frequent flier miles on them or buy them on ebay--so cheap!) -- shop etc., parenting, parents, adoptive families, lucky, newsweek, HBR, Fortune, Fast Company, Cookie, Real Simple--(this is probably my fav), martha stewart EVERYDAY FOOD

1. Favorite Color?- to wear:  Purple!



2. Favorite Band?- U2 and I also Kristen Chenoweth (she's the chick on the Old Navy commercials, but she is a Broadway performer).



3. Favorite Movie?-  Sooo many, but here are the top ones---Anything starring Johnny Depp.  Serendipity, Office Space, The Shawshank Redemption, Beaches



4. Favorite Book?- The Great Gatsby and  A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. I'm also a fan of mindless chick lit.



5. Favorite Beauty Brand? - I'm not that into beauty products, honestly.  I'm kind of a wash and go type of girl. But I do like Bath & Body Works Fresh Vanilla Scent. 



6. Favorite Magazine and which ones do you subscribe to?- I waste too much time on magazines. Right now, the favorite is Lucky b/c it's still different from the other cookie cutter mags out there (as much as I complain about Andrea Linette and her goth style...).  I also subscribe to Domino, Cargo, a few jewelry mags, & For Me.



7. Favorite Hobby?- Jewelry making, graphic design, anything artistic, creative, musical, etc. 



8. Favorite Food?- Sushi! And strawberries, chocolate and champagne.



9. Any last minute thoughts for your Secret Santa? I don't really have a list this Christmas b/c everything I want is ridiculously expensive (Adobe Creative Suite 2, Flash, Dreamweaver, a video camera, an IPod, a kiln, etc).  So, just get me something fun and unique and I'll be happy.

1. Favorite Color? red and pink



2. Favorite Band?  Oh gosh, I listen to a lot of stuff from rock to country to some rap.  I generally just like really chill music like Beck, Jack Johnson, Ben Harper, stuff like that



3. Favorite Movie?  Zoolander, Old School, The Royal Tenenbaums, Anchorman, Tommy Boy (basically any ridiculously stupid funny movie) and I love Y Tu Mama Tambien and Motorcycle Diaries.  I love foreign films



4. Favorite Book?  Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez



5. Favorite Beauty Brand? Stila, Philosophy, Nars



6. Favorite Magazine and which ones do you subscribe to?  Subscribe to Lucky, Domino, Real Simple, and InStyle.  I love (but don't have a subscription to) Elle Decor.



7. Favorite Hobby?  Gardening, cooking, reading, making jewelry and sewing things



8. Favorite Food?  Oh my gosh, do I have to pick one?  We'll just go with a list of things I don't like to save some time:  avocados, sushi (yeah, I'm weird), and ummmmmmm....that might be it. 



9. Any last minute thoughts for your Secret Santa?  Not really.  I'm pretty easy to please.  I could always use more accessories though, but not in the form of pierced earrings.

3. Favorite Movie?- Apocalypse Now (smart choice), Legends Of the Fall (*hides* ), Clueless

5. Favorite Beauty Brand? - Fresh, La Mer, Delux, Remede, Nars

6. Favorite Magazine and which ones do you subscribe to?- I love Vanity Fair, Vogue, Glamour, Marie Claire, In Style, etc. and I subscribe to none (I know- how dumb- I'm throwing away my money!)

7. Favorite Hobby?- Besides shopping? Well, I'm a newbie at the guitar and I'm quite bad, but I love it!

I'm so into the Arts & Crafts crowd right now...Feist, Stars, Apostle of Hustle, Broken Social Scene. I was reading the other day that Feist is going to be on Peaches' new album cause they used to be roommates? Crazy.

1. Favorite Color?- to wear  I'm drawn to reds, yellows, and greens for my house.  For me to wear, I like very pale pink, brown, olive green, and sometimes darker reds.



2. Favorite Band?- I just listen to whatever's on the radio, but I like rock music



3. Favorite Movie?-  Sixteen Candles



4. Favorite Book?-  I haven't read a grown-up book in ages!  I wouldn't even know what KIND of book!  But I enjoy fashion and home mags and entertaining books.



5. Favorite Beauty Brand? - I don't worry about brand too much.  I like Nivea stuff in general, though.  I used to buy Lancome makeup.  Never been to Sephora at all, but I'd like to try that lip-plumping stuff they have. 



6. Favorite Magazine and which ones do you subscribe to?-  I get People, Lucky, Domino (suck-ola), Real Simple, Better Homes & Gardens.  I need to get more fashion mags.



7. Favorite Hobby?-  decorating



8. Favorite Food?-  crispy tacos, appetizer dips, lobster, chicken casserole like my mom makes

Any last minute thoughts for your Secret Santa?  My dog ate my favorite gloves that were fur lined.  He also chomped my Burberry scarf   I was thinking about finding a cute knitted hat from Anthro.  My main winter coat is white, why dressy winter coat is black, and my two light weight coats are red boucle and black quilted w/ Burberry lining.  I like things that are cute and unexpected.  For example, I love buying cute picks and spreaders for parties.  Boston Warehouse makes the best ones!  I have a great collection of beaded coasters, but I don't have any for Christmas.  I'm starting to love dangly earrings, but not too big.  I'd also like to try some big-ish hoops, but I don't want to look too J-Lo.  I like dangly bracelets that tinkle when you move.  I love buddha statues (not the fat one, the hindu one) and things that look like they came from an old Tuscan village (see my house in the home thread).
