Buying Music For a Mac (not Itunes)

I know this probably should go into the tech section, but I am shopping for something...

Where can I buy songs versus Itunes on a mac? Walmart doesn't work? I only want to purchase a few songs and upload them to my wedding website and since Itunes is protected it won't work. Any ideas? I only want legal, and also where I don't sign up for a month or something. TIA!

 I would assume you could do it on musicmatch.com.  I order music from there to put on my mp3 player.
