Hi ladies!


I desperately want a Marc Jacobs Blake bag and there are several on ebay that appear to be authentic.  Can anyone tell me EXACTLY what to look for when determining whether or not these bags are fake?  I just can't see spending $1000 + for a Marc Jacobs bag right now.

i think that it looks pretty authentic!  the sellers feedback is great.  the few negative feedback they have is not related to the authenticity, it's the shipping an other everyday issues.  i say go for it.  looks just like the ones i have seen.  but as i said before, i'm no expert.

It just seems funny how they can get so many of them and sell them at such a reduced price.  But by looking at the photos, the detailing looks good.  I can usually tell when ladies have a fake by looking at the stitching on a bag.  A real quality bag will have perfect stitching.

That bag looks authentic to me!  The fact that the sides of the zippers and the bottom of the little clasps say Marc Jacobs indicates to me that it's probably authentic.  Most fakes will usually scrimp on details like that.

i have seen MJ bags at about 40% off.  so that makes them about 570.00 right?  maybe they buy several at that price and just hope they will make a profit on ebay...

ok, most of it looks authenic... I looked at my cammie which has similar zippers, only they're brass, and it shows a different mark under the zipper - seems to me that they would use the same manufacturer for zippers. 


the lining looks right. the stitching looks right...


one thing I noticed is the loop that holds the zipper pulls on seems flatter than the authentic, and is shaped differently... also - the zipper is really wavy when zipped - a trademark of a fake bag - and see how you can see a chevron pattern in the zipper fabric in the ebay bag? on my cammie it's only a diagonal pattern - it's hard too see on the eluxury pic the pattern of the zipper fabric.  also, there's that extra stitchingwhere the handle meets the ring that you don't see in the elux pic - but it could simply just not be visible.


I don't know. I'm not 100% convinced.  also, I happen to be fairly familiar with the fakes as I have received some from my husband when he goes to china.  the chinese are REALLY good at copying - you have to look at manufacturer variences like the zipper details and tiny variences in shapes (like look at the side view of the handles - the scoop of leather near the ring seems much lower on the auth. than on the ebay bag). don't let the feedback fool you either - they might just be excellent copies and have fooled a lot of people.  caveat emptor.
